Roof Replacement Construction Process

We start by protecting your home with tarping and decking so we don’t cause damage to your windows, screens, doors, siding, ac units, pools, landscaping and more.

Remove roofing system down to decking
This allows us to:
- Inspect decking for water damage
- Code compliance
- Manufacturers Specifications

Install ice and water shield to prevent leaks
- Valleys
- Around chimneys
- Around skylights

Install drip edge on eaves
(If replacing gutters is in scope of work)

Install synthetic underlayment
- More water resistant than felt paper
- Up to 6 months protection exposed to conditions
- Easier for our crew to walk on

Install starter shingles

Install drip edge on rakes

Install shingles using manufacturer recommended 4-6 nails per shingle

Install flashing as you install shingles

Install hip and ridge shingles

Caulk exposed nail heads on flashings and ridge caps

Paint roof accessories to match your shingles

Remove tarps / decking protection

Clean around home and check neighbors yards for debris
- Run magnets around perimeter until we collect at least 98% of nails
